I originally went to MAK Auto Repair for a routine oil change, and during the inspection, one of their experienced mechanics noticed that my CV axle was in very poor condition and needed attention before it became a much more serious and expensive problem. After getting quotes from several other shops, I decided to return to MAK Auto Repair because I believe in supporting local businesses, and their pricing was fair and reasonable. Saeed, the owner, was professional and honest throughout the entire process. Chris, who works up front, was knowledgeable, personable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. They scheduled the repair quickly, completed the work exactly when they said they would, and delivered on everything they promised. I was intending to do the work myself until I found out that I would be unable because my bolts were seized and I lacked the proper setup / space to even get the bolts to budge. I had brought the car in shortly after noon and I was the last one off of their lot that day. It was a good thing I had time to spare, and would suggest planning if at all possible because automotive repairs will often take more time than anticipated. Although I am a tad disappointed that after I had asked them to coat my exhaust piping with the supplied high temperature paint the first visit, Chris had personally undertook it himself on my second visit while stopping in for other necessary repairs Would still recommend MAK Auto for their more than reasonable pricing, and their willingness to work with their clients !!

I asked if they would check my fluids. The guy at the front desk, I think his name is Chris, was courteous and professional. Long story short, he took the time to explain in simple terms that I need brake pads, but that my rotors were good. Just like others have shared, they could have easily charged me for both, but they chose to do right by the customer. I appreciate the staff's honesty, integrity, and mindfulness of customers' time. I was pleasantly surprised, they checked my tire, as I thought it was beyond repair, they didn't have my tire in stock, they would have to get it tomorrow, but he offered me a used tire instead. I recently visited the dealership for a recalled item, and of course they found a bunch of other issues to charge me for during my visit. Some of those other issues included "urgently needing new brake pads and rotors" as well as "definitely needing brand new brake fluid". The quoted price was astronomical, so I declined and took a chance on Mak, and I'm so glad I did! Said (the kind gentleman who works there), fit me in at 2:30pm and was done with everything by 4:30pm same day. He said that I definitely was in need of front brake pads and rotors for safety reasons, but the back ones could wait a little longer if I really needed to stretch it out. He also said my brake fluid already looked good and that I didn't need that as an added service. What integrity! He could have easily charged me for that. He was able to give me all 4 new brake pads and rotors for HALF the price that the dealership was going to charge me. Funnily, I accidentally left a small personal item behind in the Mak lobby and didn't realize until after the shop had closed. It was a very expensive item and I was a little stressed overnight. The next morning, I returned, and was so glad to see Said again, who promptly showed up a few minutes before the opening time. After hearing my story, he immediately unlocked the lobby and let me grab my personal item, which was still safely sitting in the lobby. The fact that it was still there speaks again to the integrity of Said and his team. They could have easily kept it and I would have never even known. Said had so much empathy for me and apologized profusely that he didn't see it left in there when he locked up shop for the night (Obviously it was MY fault for forgetting it! But his apologies were very sincere and appreciated.) He also saw me trying to adjust something in my trunk related to my taillight upon leaving, and gave me a quick hand at no additional charge. I seriously couldn't believe his kindness. He told me to come back for anything, and I'll definitely be coming to this place exclusively moving forward. I felt so safe and cared for at that shop! If there are other women who are looking for a trusted  auto shop, it's this one! "Obrigado" (thanks) to Said & the team members at Mak!

I moved 40 minutes away and I still drive out here, even if it’s for a simple oil change! As a woman, it’s hard finding a trustworthy mechanic. Beat AAMCO by $ 1,144 (Quote 2,344 parts and labor) and Christian brothers by almost $ 1,000 as Christian brothers guestimated about $ 1900 + their 289 inspection fee, which does NOT apply to the repair cost. Lost the wheel lock key, so they needed to manually remove the locks. My husband had to leave for out of town work and we basically saw them in panic mode, this was on a Thursday. Chris and the team got us in on Friday and took care of us immediately. The job was completed the same day. We also added an oil change in on the same trip. We have definitely found our new shop! Fair priced, great customer service, and superior work. Would definitely recommend to family and friends, and when needed we will be back.
